MOSCOW, Oct 18 (BelTA) – Belarus and Panama could launch a mission to generate and reunite the Belarusian apparatus in Panama, the ambassador of Belarus in Russia, Dmitry Krutoi, presented the proposal in his assembly with Rolando E. Barrow, Panama’s ambassador to Russia with simultaneous accreditation to Belarus, learned BelTA from the press service of the diplomatic mission of Belarus.
“The sides exchanged perspectives on efforts to expand Belarus-Panama cooperation in all fields. The ambassador of Belarus advised supplying Panama with a wide diversity of agricultural machinery, passenger cars and shipping equipment from Belarus. This may come with direct deliveries and the status quo of a meeting plant in Panama to produce Belarusian cars for sectors of the Panamanian economy. According to him, Belarus hopes that such cooperation can help Belarusian products enter other markets in Latin America and the Caribbean,” the press service said.
Belarus is also interested in loading Panama’s tropical completion. These products can be provided not only to the Belarusian market, but also to other EAEU Member States via Belarus. Dmitry Krutoi believes that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Belarus and the Chamber of Commerce of Panama, Industry and Agriculture can organize the exchange of visits of industrial delegations of the two countries, which will facilitate industrial and economic contacts.
“According to Rolando Barrow, the leaders of the Republic of Panama attach great importance to the progression of relations with the Republic of Belarus. He praised the Belarus-Latin America Forum held at the Commercial and Cultural Complex of the Embassy of Belarus in Moscow. During this forum, diplomats from Latin American states learned about the export potential of our country. Electric buses, trucks, modification tractors and other agricultural equipment produced in Belarus are of special interest to Panama. In that sense, the Panamanian ambassador supports the proposal. of the Belarusian aspect to advertise Belarusian products in the market of Panama and the entire region,” the press service of the diplomatic project reported.
The Panamanian ambassador invited Belarus to participate in EXPOCOMER, a multisectoral industry exhibition to be held in Panama in March 2023.
“The sides agreed to draw up proposals to accentuate bilateral trade, add flexible economic zones and make full use of the advantageous geographical position of Belarus and Panama to promote bilateral cooperation,” the press service added.
