At the time of the day in a row, British Columbia Fitness reported 47 new COVID-19 cases in the province and there were no further deaths.
The province said Thursday that there are 3,881 cases of the disease in the province. Of these, 3,315 patients have recovered, or about 85%.
The number of COVID-19 deaths in British Columbia remains in 195, while the province last recorded a coronavirus-related death on Friday.
There are 371 active instances in the province, 53% of the number of active instances last Thursday.
The number of COVID-19 patients in the hospital continues to increase. The province reported that 11 others were hospitalized by the new coronavirus, a number that has more than doubled since last Thursday.
Five of these patients are in intensive care, at least since Wednesday.
The province has announced two new outbreaks in long-term care services: Richmond Lions Manor and the Joseph-Rosalie Segal Family Health Center in Vancouver.
Dr. Bonnie Henry, the province’s fitness officer, says the number of cases that “arise from nowhere and are similar or similar” to other cases remains very low.
Much of the recent outbreak is due to an ongoing outbreak in Kelowna related to the parts that took up position during the long Canadian Day weekend.
Health Minister Adrian Dix, more than 1,500 British Columbians are lately self-a isolating themselves “due, in some cases, to a lack of physical estrangement.”
Ten had a message for others who wanted to plan or attend giant personal parties.
“Enough. That’s it now,” he says.
“Refusing to settle for COVID-19 adjusting everything, everything will have to be replenished, puts us all in danger.
“The purpose of public fitness officers is to spoil anyone’s summer, or restrict their party possibilities. That’s the task of COVID-19.”
Henry expressed support for TransLink and BC Transit’s resolve to require passengers to wear a mask when using public transport.
At an independent press conference, Prime Minister John Horgan insisted on starting school “as usual” in September, despite considerations from teachers and parents.
But the door is open to return to school beyond September 8, the existing start date.
