York has not been added to the government’s coronavirus watch list, despite the increase in cases that put the city’s infection rate above many of the posts on it.
Earlier this week, heads of public aptitude warned that York is at the “turning point” and could be categorized as a fear due to the accumulation of cases.
But the list of concerns, published through the government on Friday, comes with York.
On Thursday, local fitness said York had an infection rate of 61. 25, consistent with 100,000 people.
That’s consistent with the spaces added to the list this week, adding Cheshire West and Chester, which has a 57. 3-instance rate of 100,000 and Cheshire East in 44,9 instances consistent with 100,000.
Scarborough and Selby were added to the clock last week and have rates of 46. 9 consistent with 100,000 and 58. 4 respectively this week.
But the government report uses older knowledge of evidence recorded between September 18 and 24, giving York a rate of 49. 1.
Sharon Stoltz, director of public health, said at a council meeting that the government figures were about a week that were recorded locally.
She said: “Our numbers are expanding for all indicators.
“But those numbers accumulate from a very low base. York until early September had very low numbers.
“The fact that our instances are expanding is now a concern. “
He added: “We are very dependent on the movements of citizens and visitors.
“The only way to reduce our degrees of infection is to be very guilty and stick to fundamental infection control guidelines. “
Ms. Stoltz said at a council meeting that she pushed for a moment to walk at the verification center, adding that 80% of appointments were booked at 8am each day at the Poppleton Bar verification site.
City officials encouraged others to follow the rules to avoid additional restrictions on York.
