Baseball legend David Ortiz admitted on Friday that he had Covid-19.
Ortiz told New England Sports Network (NESN) advertisers the major league game between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees.
“Yes, man, I just found out. I took my last check yesterday. Thank God I dialed negative, ” said Ortiz, adding that he was asymptomatic and not suffering too much.
“My brother lived badly, had to stay in the hospital for about a week. He ended up losing about 25 pounds and, man, that’s not a joke,” he said. “You don’t realize how crazy he is until he touches the house. “
