Bangladesh reported one more Covid-19-linked death and 21 fresh cases in 24 hours till Sunday morning.
Previously, one died from Covid-19 on January 11.
The Health Services Branch (HSB) announced this in a press release.
According to the DGHS, in the last 24 hours, 418 samples were tested and the TFW positivity was 5. 02%.
With those new figures, the total number of deaths in the country rose to 29,479 and the number of cases to 2,046,599, according to the DGHS.
The overall detection rate was 13. 09% and the mortality rate was 1. 44%.
The DGHS on Saturday urged the population to wear a mask as a precautionary measure in the face of the emergence of cases of a new variant of Covid-19, JN. 1, in several countries around the world.
