Bangladesh Bank has eased the age limit for job seekers in the banking sector due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the recruitment process.
Candidates who were 30 years old on March 25, 2020 will qualify to participate in the selection procedure from June 30, 2023, a central bank said today.
The central bank also ordered banks to calculate the applicants’ highest age by March 25, 2020 as the deadline.
At the beginning of November last year, the BB had set March 25, 2020 as the deadline for eligible job seekers until December 31, 2021.
Currently, the age limit for entering civil service is 30. In the case of the Freedom Fighters children, it is 32 years old.
