MANAMÁ. KAZINFORM Bahrain will host a global interfaith forum in November, sponsored by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, president of the Muslim Council of Elders, and Pope Francis, leader of the Catholic Church, will participate in the forum, WAM reports.
The Bahrain Dialogue Forum will be held on November 3-4 with the theme “East and West for Human Coexistence. “
It is expected to attract more than two hundred devoted world leaders, media personalities and academics.
The Forum is organized through the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs of Bahrain, in cooperation with the Muslim Council of Elders and the King Hamad World Centre for Peaceful Coexistence.
The two-day occasion will feature a series of moving discussions aimed at cementing the values of peace and tolerance.
