Bahrain reports 705 new cases of COVID-19

Dubai: Bahrain has reported 705 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections shown to 63,189, to the UK Ministry of Health.

Meanwhile, another 643 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 56,087. Three more deaths were also reported, bringing the death toll to 219.

Of today’s 705 new cases, 119 were expatriate workers, 576 case contacts and 10 were travel-related.

The ministry added that of the 6,885 active cases, 159 were under repair and 40 were in critical condition.

The most recent instances were detected after the ministry conducted 12,796 additional COVID-19 tests, bringing the total number of tests conducted to date to 1301,170.
