Dubai: More than 9,394 more people were screened for COVID-19 in Bahrain yesterday, the Kingdom’s Ministry of Health announced Saturday.
The tests resulted in the detection of 326 new COVID-19 instances in foreign workers, contacts and some who had recently reached the island’s kingdom, fitness officials.
A total of 143 expatriate employees were found to be carriers of the virus, while another 182 were inflamed through local contacts of active cases and one related to travel.
The ministry showed that 289 patients have recovered from a coronavirus, bringing the total number of cures in the country to 42469 so far.
The latest update that there are recently 85 cases of COVID-19 being treated, 40 of which are in critical condition. More than 3,375 instances are solid out of a total of 3,415 active instances. The total number of recovered instances released is 42,469.
Bahrain has conducted more than 954,192 tests. Bahrain reported the death of a 56-year-old expatriate from a coronavirus, raising the death toll to 168.
