Bahrain held a press conference earlier this week to highlight the island’s ongoing efforts to host the International School Sports Federation (ISF) Gymnastics 2024.

Local sports officials underlined their commitment to foreign school sports and pledged to organize a successful and unifying edition of the multi-sport event.

Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, expressed his preference to see the event unify his country, while increasing its record of world-first events.

In a message on Twitter, Al Khalifa said his country is “proud” to host the next edition of ISF Gymnasaide, adding: “We will be fully ready to get scholarship holders from all over the world in the Kingdom of Bahrain. “

His comments were followed at the press conference through Ishaq Abdulla Ishaq, Chairman of the ISF Gymnasiade 2024 Organizing Executive Committee, who presented a review of the progress made in organizing the event.

Ishaq that the ISF Gymnasaide 2024 is tentatively scheduled to last 10 days and involve some 5,000 student-athletes. In addition, 25 sports are expected to be played in 14 venues throughout the island’s kingdom.

ISF President Laurent Petrynka told local organizers, highlighting the kingdom’s fashion infrastructure and leadership in the sports sector. He also hinted that the latest sports program would come with a wide variety of Olympic sports.

The dates of the foreign school game’s biannual birthday party have yet to be announced.
