Bahrain detects first case of monkeypox: state media

DUBAI: Bahrain has detected its first case of monkeypox, state news outlet BNA reported Friday, bringing up the fitness ministry.

The ministry said the patient was returning from when his symptoms were suspected and diagnosed, the BNA added.

Since early May 2022, cases of monkeypox have been reported in endemic countries and continue to be reported in several endemic countries.
