Bahrain can restore previous COVID-19 restrictions

Dubai: Bahrain’s National Medical Working Group on Coronavirus Control (COVID-19) said the number of active instances has increased in the last two weeks, exceeding 750 instances in a few days, due to non-compliance with the rules of caution and fitness during ashura’s vacation.

The Working Group under pressure that continued non-compliance with precautionary and adequacy measures had a negative effect on society and negative effects on the Kingdom’s efforts, which were internationally welcome.

If the number of existing instances continues to increase, knowledge- and progress-based decisions will be reviewed and procedures in the previous steps may need to be returned to mitigate the spread of the virus.
