Bahrain approves the emergency use of the COVID-19 candidate vaccine on frontline staff since Tuesday, BNA, the state news firm reported in an announcement by the minister of health.

In September, the United Arab Emirates legalized the emergency use of the same candidate vaccine for individuals exposed to infection.

The candidate vaccine is coming to the end of phase III trials in Egypt, Bahrain and Jordan, a partnership between Sinopharm’s National Biotec Group of China (CNBG) and Abu Dhabi-based Synthetic Intelligence and Cloud Computing Group 42 (G42).
