“Bad policy” that “nobody” asked for: national virtual ID program announced

Sky News presenter Liz Storer calls the government’s national virtual ID program a “bad policy” that “nobody” has asked for.

The Minister of Government Services, Bill Shorten, has announced the Albanian government’s plan to implement a national virtual ID program.

“This is, in fact, a step backwards from the same old government modus operandi,” Ms. Storer said.

“Whenever a measure like this increases the people’s dependence on government while expanding their power, that’s where the axis of evil lies.

“There we have to go, no, bad policy, we don’t do it.

“No one has asked for this. “
