Now, for some positive news: the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the sale and distribution of “Lian Qua Hing Wen”, a drug that has been used as a “cure” for mild and moderate Covid cases in China, according to its embassy in Manila.

Of the total number of cases, 72,348 are active, adding 4,444 new infections in a report of 91 out of 100 laboratories.

Of those who tested positive, 3,049 gained their effects 3 days after the test, while 1,395 were on the existing validation list.

Of the active cases, 98.6% are mild or asymptomatic, while 1.3% are severe or critical.

Recoveries are now 68,997,636 new survivors. Those who died increased to 2404 after the Department of Health added 94 to the count.

Of the 94 deaths, 62 were classified in the past as recovered, which were replaced after verification.

At the same time, the Chinese Embassy said approval of the drug Lian Qua Hing Wen through the Chinese classic drug manufacturer Shijiazhuang Yiling Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. is a vital step in the access of Chinese classical medicine products to the Philippine market.

“We sincerely hope that your access to the Philippine market will contribute to the fight against the spread of Covid-19 in this country and help patients with mild to moderate symptoms recover.” according to one from the Chinese Embassy.

Lian Qua Hing Wen has reportedly been approved as a Vovid-19 remedy for mild and moderate cases in China, and has also obtained approvals in Hong Kong, Macau, Brazil, Indonesia, Canada, Mozambique, Romania, Thailand, Ecuador, Singapore and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

In May, the FDA issued an ice to the public about the acquisition and ownership of the drug, which at the time did obtain a certificate of registration of the product.
