The Armenian government declared a state of national emergency due to the coronavirus outbreak in mid-March. Since then, the state of emergency has been extended month by month.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had previously said that the government might not enlarge the state of emergency indefinitely and that they needed legislative amendments that would allow the government to impose restrictions on the discovery of new groups of outbreaks.
