Australian Hazlewood involved in COVID-19 cases on the IPL side

(Reuters) – Australian Josh Hazlewood is involved in a COVID-19 outbreak in his Indian Premier League franchise in the United Arab Emirates, the fashion designer said Monday.

Hazlewood is in England for the Australian series, 3 Twenty20 matches in Southampton followed by 3 international matches out of 50 in Manchester.

After the series, he is expected to enroll in the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the United Arab Emirates, where the 13th edition of the IPL will be held from September 19 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India.

The Indian Cricket Board said two players and 11 others tested positive for COVID-19 after arriving in the United Arab Emirates to identify them. Local media reported that they were all from the CSK camp.

“In the franchise, we have a WhatsApp group, with all the data that comes with it. That’s obviously a little worrying. Ideally, I should have a case,” Hazlewood told reporters at a video convention monday.

“Now they’re in quarantineArray … I’m clearly focusing on this excursion right now. Once the IPL gets closer, let’s think more about it… closer to when we will talk to Cricket Australia.”

England’s captain, Eoin Morgan, marked a dazzling half-century when the hosts pursued a rigid goal to beat Pakistan across five lands at the time T20 on Sunday.

“Eoin Morgan just executes a very clever shipment in the white ball box and everyone knows his role, his confidence is high, they win a lot of cricket games, so they have quite confidence,” Hazlewood said.

“It’s obviously complicated and we don’t have much cricket … England is flying right now. There are some new faces we want to see, but we hope to win every single cricket game we play. “
