EXCLUSIVE: The Quebec series Audrey’s Back (10×30′) is on track after Beta sold the rights to the comedy-drama produced through Pixcom to two of the European majors, Canal en France and Italian broadcaster RAI.

The assignment, the first Quebec series to be decided at Canneseries earlier this year, won the Dior Grand Prix and the festival’s Special Acting Award.

The French-language comedy-drama follows Audrey, played through Florence Longpré, who miraculously wakes up from a coma after 16 years. talking, counting, walking, and doing everything that was once considered “normal. “Audrey’s awakening profoundly affects not only her life, but also inspires those around her.

Protagonist Florence Longpré co-wrote the series The Covid-19 lockdown with co-author Guillaume Lambert (Adulthood). Also starring Denis Bouchard, Josée Deschênes and Zeneb Blanchet. Pixcom produces in collaboration with Quebecor Media. Beta manages overseas sales.
