Assistance will be offered to Muskingum Co. homeowners. affected by Covid-19

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) and MEOAG Inc, Muskingum County’s network action agency, will cover the housing expenses of eligible Muskingum County homeowners through the Save the Dream Ohio Fund-Utility Assistance Plus (HAF-UAP) homeowner assistance program, funded through the 2021 American Rescue Plan.

Assistance would possibly be provided for utilities, application disconnection fees, application reconnection fees, taxes on unembargoed assets, and other homeowner fees. Households would possibly be eligible to receive up to $10,000 in assistance, or until the budget is exhausted, or until 12/31/23, whichever comes first. Utility assistance and landlord fees will end on 12/31/23.

To qualify, you must have experienced monetary hardship after January 21, 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and have a source of income equal to or less than 150% of the region’s median source of income approved by the U. S. Treasury. U. S.

 

 

Homeowners who want help repaying their loan and whose taxes and insurance on their assets are foreclosed apply for assistance directly from OHFA’s Save the Dream Ohio program. MEOAG, Inc. will continue to contribute to utilities and other homeownership prices in cooperation with OHFA’s Save the Dream. Ohio Program.

Applications will be accepted by appointment only and the following documents must be provided at the time of appointment.

1). Proof of identity.

2). Social Security numbers for all household members.

3). 30-day proof of source of income for all family members over age 18 or the most recently completed tax return.

4). Documentation for assistance.
