Assignment of a major road in St. Cloud resumes Monday

STREET. CLOUD (WJON News) – A dry winter is allowing crews to begin painting on the Highway 10/Highway 23 structure mapping ahead of schedule.

Initially scheduled to begin in April, the task will now begin from Monday, March 18.

It takes some time to identify a paint zone, however, Highway 23 drivers expect traffic to be diverted to the newly constructed westbound lanes from Lincoln Avenue Southeast to 25th Avenue Southeast.

Traffic on Highway 10 will transfer to the newly constructed eastbound lanes between Avenue Southeast and Benton Drive Southeast.

The intersection of 4th Street Southeast remains closed as crews resume painting on a new bridge over Highway 10 at this location.

In addition, the other two ramps of the interchange will be closed, causing a detour.

The two-year, $43. 7 million allocation is expected to be completed by Nov. 1.
