The occurrence of COVID-19 in Summit County has continued to decline over the past week. According to the county’s website, its seven-day cumulative occurrence rate is about 52 cases consistent with 100,000 people, up from 70 cases last week.
From Wednesday, Sept. 7 through Wednesday, Sept. 14, the county totaled new cases.
In the last 28 days, the highest number of cases in the age groups 60-69 (20 cases) and 30-39 years (19 cases). A total of 12 cases have occurred in young people and young people aged 19 years and younger.
There is no replacement in last week’s deaths, there have been no deaths due to COVID-19 in the last week.
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment states that there have been 15 deaths among COVID-19 cases in Summit County since the beginning of the pandemic, 15 of which are COVID-19 deaths.
Summit County Government’s COVID-19 vaccine panel is undergoing a formula update, according to David Rossi, director of communications for Summit County Government. As a result, Summit County’s updated vaccination rates will not be available this week.
On Friday, Gov. Jared Polis signed an executive order that serves to update and alleviate Colorado’s crisis.
According to the press release, this leaves the door open to reverse the COVID-19 reaction from federal and state resources, as support for physical care in Colorado.
