YEREVAN, AUGUST 26, ARMENPRESS. Armenian schoolchildren will not be able to leave classroom recess when schools reopen from September 15.
Deputy Minister of Education Janna Andreasyan said this was done as a security measure to reduce the threat of COVID-19 outbreaks.
“We want to perceive, obviously, why we are restricting children’s ability to get out of the study room recess. Our motivation is to minimize the threat of the virus spreading in schools,” he said.
He said that according to popular procedures, a school will remain closed for a safe period of time in case of 10% or more cases of infection. Andreasyan said the Coronavirus Directive also encourages young people not to exchange parts with others, such as books or pens. and minimize contact.
400,000 young people are expected to return to school on September 15 after the closure of COVID-19.
