PanARMENIAN.Net – Armenia is negotiating with the modern vaccine manufacturer and agencies, Health Minister Arsen Torosyan said on Thursday (July 2).
Moderna Therapeutics is a biotechnology company in Cambridge, Massachusetts, co-founded through Armenian entrepreneur Noubar Afeyan.
Torosyan said that more than a hundred possible Covid-19 vaccines are developing lately worldwide, but that only 20 of them can be approved.
The minister said Armenia is negotiating with brands and agencies that will oversee the uniform distribution of vaccines once they are ready.
Torosyan also stated that 650 coronavirus patients in Armenia are in a serious condition.
The number of cases shown of coronavirus in Armenia increased from 593 to 26658 on Thursday morning. So far, 15036 more people have recovered, 459 have died of coronavirus in the country, while another 153 have died from other causes.
