YEREVAN, AUGUST 13, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian government approved a new aid programme, 23rd, aimed at eliminating the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The measure is in the tourism sector and aims to have companies in the region retain their employees.
Economy Minister Tigran Khachatryan said at the cabinet assembly that the pandemic had caused a nearly 70% drop in revenue from tourism, accommodation and places to eat.
Companies that meet the needs of the revo allowance will receive monthly government grants.workers at the time of application have the right to obtain assistance.
