PanARMENIAN.Net – Health Minister Arsen Torosyan said Wednesday (August 12) that some three hundred coronavirus patients in Armenia are in serious or critical condition.
According to the Health Minister, hospitals are less crowded, more and more empty beds as the number of new infections decreases.
Torosyan said it would be difficult to remove all new instances in the near future, but keeping the number of infections as low as 50-100 each day would be acceptable.
Also on Wednesday, the country will open its borders to non-citizens, despite the extension of the state of emergency for the last time until 9/11.
The number of cases shown of coronavirus in Armenia reached 40,794 on Wednesday, according to data provided through the Ministry of Health. So far, 33492 more people have recovered, 806 have died of coronavirus in the country, while another 234 have died from other causes.
