Armenia: about three hundred patients with Covid-19 in severe or critical condition

PanARMENIAN.Net – The rate of coronavirus infection in Armenia is decreasing, but some three hundred patients remain in a serious or critical condition, Ministry of Health spokeswoman Alina Nikoghosyan said tuesday (August 18).

Nikoghosyan said that people’s adherence to 3 anti-epidemic regulations – dressed in a mask, common hand disinfection and social estrangement – is paying off.

“The death toll is stable, with 8 to nine patients dying each day from three hundred other people in severe or critical condition,” the Armenian RFE/RL Service, quoted through Nikoghosyan, said Tuesday.

15 hospitals transferred to Covid-19 treatment centres have already returned to general activity in the country.

The number of displayed cases of coronavirus in Armenia increased from 145 to 41,846 on Tuesday, August 18. So far, another 34,982 people have recovered, 832 have died of coronavirus in the country, while another 245 have died from other causes.
