SALT LAKE CITY — Argentines from Utah and neighboring states will have the opportunity to get the consulate and meet with other Argentines this week.

Argentina has only two consulates in the western United States, with the Argentine consulate in Los Angeles serving Argentines living in Alaska, Hawaii, California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, and Washington. This means that renewing documents and obtaining other facilities requires a long and beloved adventure for Argentines living in Utah.
“The cellular consulate in Salt Lake City is incredible as the moment with the largest Argentine network in the consular jurisdiction of the consulate in Los Angeles, after California, is living in Utah,” said Deputy Consul Ana Cristina Saino. “We estimate that about 7,000 Argentines live in Utah. “
Saino expects about two hundred more people to be helped in the city and Argentines from Arizona are also expected.
Ana Valdemoros, president of the Utah Argentina Alliance and a board member from Salt Lake City, said alliance members will also be at the library on the day to offer assistance and information about upcoming alliance programs, scholarships and events.
