Recent infections come with a year-old Singaporean baby who arrived from India on August 24 and is the only case imported on Tuesday. As of Monday, two of the 3 imported instances had arrived from India.
Valid negative result
Travellers must provide a valid negative check result to be taken within 72 hours prior to their flight to Singapore, the Ministry of Health said at an expiration on Wednesday.
He said the resolution had been taken to instances imported from India.
“We are closely following the COVID-19 scenario in India. There are reports of an increase in infections in India. Singapore has also observed a significant number of imported cases with recent history in India,” the ministry said.
“As the world evolves, we will continue to adjust our border measures to handle the import threat and any upcoming transmission to the community,” he added.
In addition to the requirements
The checks will be applied in addition to the existing needs of a 14-day home realization (NHS) in compromised services and a negative COVID-19 review before the end of your stay in the house.
Travelers should be prepared to undergo screening measures upon entry, adding payment for their stay at the facility and NHS testing, according to the ministry.
