Boston: If you yourself are a “Novid,” in other words, someone who has never had COVID-19, are you wrong, are you special, or are you just lucky? The researchers seek to answer this question.
It’s estimated that more than 70% of Americans have become inflamed at some point in the pandemic, but we all know someone who says they’ve never had it. Knowledge suggests that millions of Americans who believe they have never had COVID have had yet to be tested because they had no symptoms or simply had an idea they had allergies or normal bleeding.
That said, a few other people have controlled COVID and researchers are reading them to find out why. For example, other people who paint from home, wear masks constantly, and continue to socially distance themselves to actively protect themselves.
But others may have genetic or immunological formula benefits that offer greater protection. Others may have already been exposed to viruses or are taking medication for other situations that provide some defense.
Right now, scientists don’t know who has the highest risk of infection and who doesn’t, so be sure to stay up-to-date on the COVID-19 vaccine, which is everyone’s maximum productive defense against this ever-changing virus.
