Another Nigerian player, Okereke proves COVID-19

Another Nigerian player, David Okereke, was tested for the coronavirus.

Okereke’s positive prestige was demonstrated yesterday through his Belgian team, Club Brugge, through its official website.

The club wrote: “Striker David Okereke passed a positive review of Corona this morning. The attacker was promptly quarantined and re-checked next week. “

Okereke, the third Nigerian player to test positive for coronavirus.

Paul Onuachu of Genk and Samuel Kalu of ligue club 1 Bordeaux have also tried COVID-19, but the duo have recovered since then and are back in their respective teams.

With the announcement through club Bruges that Okereke has been quarantined, the Nigerian striker is excluded from Sunday’s garter match against Zulte-Waregem.

The positive coronavirus for Okereke arrives just after the player has finished with his long dry goal; scoring this weekend in the 4-1 win over Waasland-Beveren.

The 23-year-old has played in 4 of the five league games played through Club Brugge this season; twice and replacing on two other occasions.
