Add AmaWaterways to the list of cruise brands that offer visitors a multi-day loose-land excursion if they book a cruise online in the coming months.
The California-based river cruise operator this week unveiled a limited-time offer offering visitors a pre- or post-cruise land package, plus a cruise when booking electronic river trips to Europe, Egypt and the Mekong River scheduled for 2023.
To benefit from the offer, the reservation must be made before December 31.

There are 15 additional tours of this type that can be obtained for free with other routes as part of the promotion. Other destinations where add-ons will be added are Paris, Vienna, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bangkok and Dubai.
Each of the land packages includes hotel accommodations, daily breakfast, transfers and portage between hotels and the ship, as well as city tours and experiences.

As part of a similar promotion, AmaWaterways also offers consumers a 10% cruise charge when they book an instant cruise for 2023 and load a complimentary ground package prior to the cruise.
AmaWaterways’ offer comes just days after Oceania Cruises announced that guests booking e-cruises in 2023 will receive a single shore excursion value before or after the cruise of up to $4,600 depending on the additional user.
Free land tours will be conducted before and after the Oceania cruise with 15 longer voyages planned for 2023. Tours last from one to three nights and come with visits to iconic destinations such as the Taj Mahal in India and Angkor Wat in Cambodia. .
Like AmaWaterways, Oceania’s offering is only available to consumers who ebook in the coming months.
The loose recharge promotion comes as cruise lines look for tactics to accumulate bookings without reducing their base rates.
