Coronavirus and advances in Turkey
Turkey has reported 1,087 additional coronavirus recoveries, 44 deaths and 1,587 cases in the last 24 hours.
Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said Turkey had recorded 110,102 tests for coronavirus over the period.
Turkey will allow piracy and banditry in the Mediterranean and Aegean regions, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in The Black Sea province of Giresun, on an occasion that marked the start of the fishing season.
Erdogan also said that, as a country with the longest maritime coast in the Mediterranean, Turkey will be limited to its shores.
Meanwhile, Ankara has criticized the scale in Moscow of an organization affiliated with the terrorist organization PKK/YPG, saying that Russia avoids measures that serve the interests of terrorists threatening Turkey and Syria.
According to TurkStat, the Turkish economy contracted 9.9% year-on-year in the quarter this year.
In addition, Turkey’s exports fell 5.8% year-on-year to $15 billion in July, while imports fell 7.9% to $17.7 billion, TurkStat said.
