CAIRO (AP) — The Egyptian government says a police officer opened fire on Israeli tourists in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria, killing at least two Israelis and an Egyptian. An Egyptian Interior Ministry official said another user was wounded in Sunday’s attack on the Pompey site. Column in Alejandría. No provided additional details. The Israeli Foreign Ministry recognized the wounded man as an Israeli with moderate injuries. The ministry said it was working with the Egyptian government to bring Israelis home. The Extra News television channel, which has close ties to Egyptian security agencies, reported that the alleged attacker had been arrested. Security forces temporarily cordoned off the site of the attack, which occurred as Israel battled Palestinian militants.
