1. President Duterte spearheaded the ambitious prediction that the country will surpass Covid-19 until December due to a vaccine from China.
2. The head, the Secretary of Finance Carlos Dominguez 3rd presented a financial detail. Buying the vaccines, he said, would charge the country 20 billion pesos.
3. The Palace has announced the main points of the new Community Quarantine Regime, which begins today, August 1, and will end on 15 August. Metro Manila will remain under general network quarantine; Cebu City is now also under GCQ, along with a number of other locations.
4. At a televised press conference on Thursday, Secretary Carlito Gálvez was astonished that the Filipino fitness formula had been overcome by the outbreak of virus cases and hospitalizations and by the eye-catching test call. Overwhelmed? When is the country on the way to victory, according to the president?
5. The Department of Health (DoH) said on Friday that the Covid-19 scenario in the country had taken a step forward despite questions posed through some politicians about the veracity of the department’s data.
“Meron akong nakuha from China, it’s great. I couldn’t say anything about the roadmap for healing, medicine,” Duterte said, revealing that he was confident he would get China’s mandatory vaccine. He said he simply couldn’t say anything about a roadmap for recovery at the SONA because he had to know first that the drug or cure it at hand.
Then, with a little luck, he added: “By December we will be back to normal. In December, tapos ito lahat. It is insurance for care, assistance, assistance, assistance for all, Nasa Hospital, middle-income population. Free. »
Secretary Dominguez supported the president’s revelation with some main points on monetary arrangements. He said the acquisition of the vaccines would charge the country 20 billion pesos.
At the same briefing, Duterte said poor Filipinos receiving assistance would be the first to be vaccinated as opposed to Covid-19 once the vaccine becomes available.
He said he would be followed by middle-income people, as would the army and police, who he called the “backbone” of his administration.
“Una talaga” yung mga tao as listahan na tumatanggap ng as gobyerno. Ngayon, pangalawa, middle-income yung. Free ito, hindi ko ito ipagbili, ” said Duterte.
“‘Yung mga bumili na lang kayo with high incomes, ‘ said Duterte. “High-income citizens buy their own vaccines.
There are at least 22,000 Covid-19 assets in the country.
“Sabihin ninyo wala kaming roadmap. Duterte, where’s your roadmap? Hindi nga kami maka-roadmap, we were talking about the budget,” Duterte said in his PTV-4 state speech.
“You may have pronounced a bachelor phrase on the medicine recovery roadmap.” The vaccine has to come first.
The lack of a roadmap has the post-SONA story because the president has spent more time fighting opposition Senator Franklin Drilon, ABS-CBN Corp., criminals and telecommunications companies, than addressing the pandemic.
In addition to the metropolitan domain of Manila, Bulacan, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Cebu, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City and Zamboanga City will also be GCQ from August 1. The rest of the Philippines will change the overall quarantine of the network.
The Philippines recorded a total of 89,374 Covid-19s with 65,078 cures and 1,983 deaths on Thursday.
At a televised press conference on Thursday, Gálvez said the country’s fitness formula had been overcome through the outbreak of virus cases and hospitalizations, and through the main call for testing.
Galvez talked about the other stages of the action plan. Gálvez explained that the first phase of the plan was implemented from March to June, while the currently phase would be implemented from July to September. The third phase will begin in October and last until December.
“If we look at the data, there is an accumulation in new instances because we have at ease our restrictions, at the same time we have what we call the opening of the economy … So, to manage Covid’s instances well, duty now changes to UGL and personal corporations and individual citizens,” he said.
Is Galvez speaking on behalf of the Interagency Working Group for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) when he speaks? Is the progression of the policy to combat the virus from the description of your task or project here?
Does IATF-EID agree that the fitness formula has been overwhelmed?
The undersecretary of health, Leopoldo Vega, said in an interview with the media that the industry now has greater knowledge and a greater picture of the situation. Cures of the disease have now reached 73% among infections. The mortality rate remains at 2.2%.
Vega said the DoH through his data, claiming that the figures had gone through “validation” and a “conciliation” in the department.
He said of the 3,954 Covid instances registered until July 30, only 1,320 were “new” instances. “Yung 2,634 [ay] cases expired” yun kasi ito “yung mga informing laboratories with hindi data agad nakapagbigay ng,” he said.
Vega noted that the figure of 1,320 new instances on July 30 “better: than the 1,874 recorded on July 29.”
With regard to recovery, the DoH explained earlier that knowledge reconciliation efforts led to the identification of more than 3,000 new recoveries between 12 and 14 July, while the “mass recovery adjustment” of 15 July relabeled all benign and asymptomatic bodies as recovered.
Of the 38,075 new cases of recovery, 37,166 were mild or asymptomatic cases recorded in June and July and relabeled as recovered, while 909 were recently reported through regional and epidemiological surveillance sets by 30 July.
I’ve been following the evolution of the frantic search for a vaccine in the middle of the pandemic. There have been several encouraging advances in clinical trials, and some corporations in the West are now their product production and distribution systems.
So far, I have not followed any positive progress related to China’s own studies on a vaccine.
The Asia Times, my main source of data on the evolution of the pandemic in Asia, has reported something.
