An Australia-bound cruise ship was destroyed by COVID-19, raising fears of a new outbreak

A Grand Princess cruise ship bound for Adelaide, Australia, has been hit by a double whammy of illness, raising fears of a imaginable outbreak when it arrives at the pier on Monday morning.

The cruise ship is lately heading to Adelaide from Queensland and fitness says there has been an outbreak of COVID-19 and gastroenteritis on board the ship.

Unfortunately, passengers aboard the ship reported that there had been no communication between ship officials and passengers, leaving them unsure of what to do next.

“Communication was non-existent at all, none of the visitors knew what was going on,” one passenger told ABC News.

The passenger added that she began to notice that passengers were not feeling well during the second day of the trip, and many of them dined on their 3 meals in their cabins during the third day.

“The first two days there was nothing in place. . . We took care of disinfecting, something that many other people didn’t do,” the passenger said.

Things got so bad, according to the passenger, that team members began handing out food and adding hand sanitizing stations to prevent illness.

The Grand Princess cruise line, owned and operated by Princess Cruises, has a capacity of approximately 4,000 passengers.

Officials have not shown how many more people have COVID-19 or how many have gastrointestinal problems.

However, the Australian Prime Minister showed that there has been an increase in the number of such cases in the country.

“There’s a significant COVID surge happening and it’s impacting the community,” South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas told the outlet.
