One of the world’s largest collections of personal cars has the world’s last automobile museum, with the weekend opening of the National Automuseum in Germany.
Formerly the Loh Collection, the ordinary collection of more than 150 cars is completed with some of the most important machines in the history of the automotive world.
The National Automuseum houses cars such as Le Mans’ private Audi, Fangio’s Maserati 250F, winner of the 1957 German Grand Prix, and a horde of prototypes.
It even has enough historic Le Mans racers to host its own special exhibition for the centenary year of the French classic. The cars show diversity from 1886 to the present day, and come with concept cars, exclusive machines, and successful racing. cars, as well as cars with revolutionary engineering and/or cultural significance.
Located in Dietzhölztal-Ewersbach, between Cologne and Frankfurt in central Germany, the National Automuseum is also an establishment and an economics and law campus for the Nurtingen-Geislingen HfWU University of Economics and Environment.

Graduates of the program will have a master’s degree in engineering, specializing in the identification, recovery and cultural significance of historic cars, as the museum’s founder, Professor Friedhelm Loh, insisted.
“My purpose is to use the fascination of the automotive generation to interest other young people in the generation as a career and turn them into an exciting education,” said the museum’s founder, Professor Dr. Loh.
Pf Dr Loh made his fortune as sole owner of the Friedholm Loh Group in Haiger, Germany, whose companies include Rittal, Stahlo and LKH plastics, employing another 12,000 people worldwide and achieving a turnover of more than €3 billion a year.
The 7500-meter museum houses a full restaurant, an American-style restaurant, a beer garden, and an art-deco movie theater.

Automotive industry highlights come with the last Lincoln Continental released through John F Kennedy before his assassination in 1963, Michael Schumacher’s first Formula 1 Ferrari and the exclusive Maybach Exelero concept car.
“These exclusive cars reflect courage, cutting-edge power, pioneering design, craftsmanship and love of detail,” said Pf Dr Loh.
“I invite those interested and excited by the fascination of wheels and automobile generation to make a stop at the Nationals Automuseum. “
Some of its highlights come with Niki Lauda’s non-public BMW M1 Procar driver, the rare Porsche 9five9 Sport built for two-time world rally champion Walter Rohrl and outstanding Jagermeister BMW 320 Group driver five.
The United States is also heavily represented, with a Ford GT40 Le Mans driver, the Jeff Gordon Chevrolet Monte Carlo NASCAR, the ultimate success outside of North America and the Dodge Avenger used by Dale Earnhardt to win his last IROC title.
