The ministry said the detail that supported the terrorist attack in Shiraz was an Afghan man, named “Muhammad Ramez Rashidi,” who operated under the pseudonym “Abu Basir,” while the man who fired at the holy shrine was a Tajik citizen named “Sobhan Komruni. “, operating under the pseudonym “Abu Ayesha”.

The terrorists were arrested in the provinces of Fars, Tehran, Alborz, Kerman, Qom and Razavi Khorasan, he said, noting that several others were arrested while trying to flee the country from the eastern borders.

The ministry also noted that several of those terrorists were planning a terrorist attack in the southeastern city of Zahedan.

Fifteen pilgrims were killed and at least 40 others wounded after a gunman opened fire indiscriminately in Shah-e Cheragh, a well-respected Shiite shrine in the southern city of Shiraz in Fars province on October 26.

The Daesh terrorist claimed responsibility for the brutal attack.
