Alex Levy has retired from the Celtic Classic, which this morning in Wales, through the European Tour due to a challenge similar to the Covid-19.

The resolution was made after the Frenchman contacted a friend who then tested positive for COVID-19.

The assembly took position while Levy was at home in France at the weekend, before heading to Celtic Manor Resort. U

Upon his arrival in Wales on Tuesday, he returned a negative as a component of the European Tour’s strategy and shows no symptoms.

However, as a precautionary measure, the European Tour removed it from this week’s tournament and Levy will now have to isolate himself for 14 days according to local fitness authorities’ rules.

Levy said: “I told the European Tour after discovering that my friend had tested positive.

“I’ve informed them of my travels since I got here because I was trying to ensure the protection of my professional colleagues and their cadets.”

Levy replaced the tournament through the Danish Martin Simonsen.

Last week, American John Catlin was kicked out of the English Championship at Hanbury Manor after breaking Covid’s protocols for the tour by visiting a local eater with his shopping cart.
