Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Airbnb announced a ban on vacations at home in all of its indexed properties. As reported on the Airbnb website, the resolution was made in an effort to comply with the pandemic’s limited collection regulations and also to publicize social estrangement.

According to BBC reports, Airbnb’s strict action was taken after the British Guest House Association contacted Airbnb and reported that parties were being held on its properties, which poses a threat to public safety. Airbnb, in its statement, said it is making this radical resolution in the most productive interests of “public health.”
Airbnb said most ads classified at its prohibited parties, however, that some homes allowed for parties and occasions such as baby showers, etc. The company also announced that legal action would be taken against consumers who violate their policies.
Airbnb also said that limiting the occupancy rate of 16-year-old visitors is not a nod to small meetings and is only intended for the largest homes listed. They added that limiting the occupancy rate to 16 is “a step among many, all designed to mitigate efforts to abuse an Airbnb for a party.”

The COVID-19 pandemic, which saw its first outbreak at a rainy market in Wuhan, China, last year, has now spread around the world. The virus, called COVID-19 through the World Health Organization, has inflamed more than 22 million people worldwide, with a global death toll of more than 794,000.
According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, the United States has reported a total of at least 5.7 million cases of positive viruses and a death toll of 176950. The United States has lately the number of reported cases in the world, making it the epicenter of the fatal virus.
On the other hand, New Zealand praised for its reaction to the pandemic and even went a hundred days without new instances. However, new groups of instances are now emerging in the country, forcing the government to re-impose blocking measures.
