The total number of Covid-19 cases in India amounted to 23,29,636, of which 6,43,948 are active infections until Wednesday morning. While another 16,39599 people have recovered from the infection, up to 46,091 more people have died to date.

The assembly is because it takes place a day after Russia declared that it had the world’s first Covid-19 vaccine ready.
