Active Covid-19 in India falls to 15,705

With another 1216 people testing positive for coronavirus infection in one day, the number of Covid-19 cases in India rose to 4,46,58,365, while active cases dropped to 15,705, according to Union Health Ministry data as of date on Friday.

The death toll rose to 530,479 with 18 deaths, adding 15 deaths counted in Kerala, according to data updated at 08:00 hours.

Active instances account for 0. 04% of the total number of infections, while the national recovery rate from Covid-19 has risen to 98. 78%, according to the Ministry of Health’s website.

A minimum of 393 cases recorded in the number of active Covid-19 cases in 24 hours.

The number of other people who recovered from the disease amounted to 4,41,12,181, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1. 19%.

According to the ministry’s website, 219. 69 million doses of the Covid vaccine have been administered in the country as part of the national vaccination campaign.

India’s Covid-19 count had crossed the 20 lakh mark on August 7, 2020, lakh 30 on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5, and 50 lakh on September 16. He surpassed 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, crossed 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20 and surpassed the crore mark on December 19.

The country reached the grim milestone of two million rupees in May and 3 crore on June 23 last year. It crossed the four million rupee mark on January 25 this year.

Three deaths were reported in 24 hours, adding one in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
