MANILA, Philippines: Active COVID-19 cases nationwide have reached 34,268, while another 3,553 people have the deadly virus.
The coronavirus tracker also showed that the sum of patients who survived COVID-19 is 3,685,173, while the death toll is now 60,747.

Cavite also remained at the top of the list of areas with the highest reported cases in the past two weeks, as it recorded 3,245 new cases, followed by Quezon City with 3,075 and Laguna with 2,576.
The DOH’s additional COVID-19 tracker showed that another 14,477 people were tested for SARS-CoV-2 on Sunday, July 31. The effects of those tests will be reflected Tuesday in government data on the coronavirus. A small number of Americans were tested for the virus may simply mean a low number of positive instances for the disease.
SARS-CoV-2 is the newest strain of coronavirus that causes severe respiratory illness from COVID-19. Since 2020, SARS-CoV-2 has mutated into other variants, adding Delta and Omicron, which have also been transmuted into subvariants.
