Football star Zlatan Ibrahimovic tested on COVID-19, AC Milan announced on Thursday.
The club said the Swedish striker had tested positive after a circular moment of front swab from Thursday night’s Europa League qualifying match opposite Bodo/Glimt.
AC Milan “informed the relevant government and the temporarily quarantined player,” the team said in a statement. All of Ibrahimovic’s teammates and club staff came back negative.
Ibrahimovic, who will turn 39 on 3 October, played Milan 2-0 for Bologna in Serie A on Monday.
This is Ibrahimovic’s time in Milan, where he played between 2010-2012 and spent two seasons (2018-19) with the Los Angeles Galaxy in Major League Soccer.

On Twitter, Ibrahimovic said he had tested negative for COVID-19 the day before the test and reported no symptoms.
“Covid has the courage of me,” he writes. Covid had the courage of me. Bad idea.
I tried negative on Covid and positive today. No symptoms, nothing. Covid had the courage to challenge me. Bad idea
