A shipment in Port Dickson with 4 team members tested for Covid-19 had traveled between two Malaysian ports after its two-day stopover in Singapore.
The Maritime and Port Authority (MPA), responding to media questions on Wednesday (September 2), said the ship had travelled between Kertih Port in Terengganu and Dickson Port in Negeri Sembilan for shipping operations after leaving the Singapore coast on 15 August. .
A day before seaman was examined by Covid-19 on August 28 at Port Dickson, new members had joined the ship’s crew, the MPA said.
Earlier this week, Malaysia’s Ministry of Health revealed that the ship’s port Dickson team had a history of the port of Singapore.
Out of a total of 34 team members examined on August 28, 4 tested positive for Covid-19, six tested negative and 24 were still waiting for the results, Malaysia’s ministry of fitness said.
While in Singapore for two days, from 13 to 15 August, six qualified and healthy team members left the shipment and returned home, AMP said Wednesday.
“The other team members disembarked from the ship,” he added.
Although there was a new member of the team in Singapore, he was remote for 14 days and tested negative before coming to Singapore to sign up for the ship, AMP said.
