More than 100,000 people in Lancashire and South Cumbria have already gained their autumn Covid-19 booster.
The NHS Lancashire-South Cumbria crusade got off to a smart start when thousands of others flocked to their autumn booster.
This comes as experts warn of a possible dual pandemic of Covid-19 and flu this winter, with NHS chiefs urging those eligible to get vaccinated without delay.
Carole McCann, head of nursing for the Lancashire and South Cumbria Covid-19 Vaccination Programme, said: “The NHS autumn booster against Covid-19 has made a smart start in Lancashire and South Cumbria with over 100,000 people completing their cover ahead of winter.
“More people are eligible for the hit and, with expert caution that covid-19 and flu may mix to cause real disruption to patients and the NHS this winter, we want to make sure everyone gets the cover they want as temporarily and smoothly as possible. “possible.
“Covid-19 is still a terrible virus that can make you very sick, but the most productive way for you is to get vaccinated when offered.
“There is no room for complacency. “
Currently, workers over the age of 65 who work in physical activities and social services, others with weakened immune systems, pregnant women and others most exposed to the virus are now eligible for their fall booster.
The NHS will touch other people when it comes to the e-book for the vaccine; other people don’t want to touch the NHS.
Those eligible for the fall booster can reserve their vaccine electronically at the national reserve service, calling 119 or the online search engine to locate a local walk-in vaccination site.
The NHS is also rolling out the flu vaccine and encouraging other eligible people to settle for offering a loose flu vaccine.
