A town in Italy has been locked down after a lion “escaped from the local circus”, Sky News presenter James Morrow said.
On the outskirts of Rome, the city of 40,000 people was locked down over the weekend.
The lion has been recorded roaming the city at night.
“Residents were asked to lock themselves in their homes for about seven hours before the beast could be caught,” Macpherson said.
“Absolutely scenes. “
