A couple continues to fight COVID-19 on two other fronts

PHOENIX – The fight for the COVID-19 is positioned on two fronts for a Valley family.These months have been terrible for Myrah Aiello, but she is the definition of perseverance.

“Hi guys, how are you, welcome back,” myrah told her customers today.”Here go guys, they want some dishes.”

Together with her husband Joe, they owned and operated the Italian food place Aiello, Charr and Isa’s Pizza on Seventh Street and Thunderbird for years, but like so many others, when the pandemic hit, the business was also affected.

“It was horrible, you know, we had to go to the restaurants,” Myrah said.

They were closed and lit for two months, switching only to a takeaway strategy, and then a devastating diagnosis took them by surprise.Myrah and Joe or the coronavirus.

“All I have to do is go through his looks and you can’t see it and it’s probably going to be very long,” Myrah said from inaspect Aiello on Friday.

As Myrah recovers, Joe comes down quickly. It’s been connected to a fan for weeks.

“I can’t give up for him, he can’t give up for me, my kids too, I mean, we just have to keep pushing, you know,” Myrah said.

“The emails, the letters, the Facebook messages, the GoFundMe, I mean God, I didn’t know that we knew a lot of people, it’s probably amazing,” Myrah said.

Even more surprisingly, Joe is getting a little bigger and able to communicate with his circle of family first on FaceTime in months.

“He’s so smart and he said it so smart to hear your voice, oh, we all started crying,” Myrah said.

Small victories that move her forward. Determined as Joe, personifying the unwavering spirit that is needed.

“I have to do it, I mean, that’s all, that’s all we know, that’s all we have,” Myrah said.
