A 54-year-old victim in a hit-and-run in Marietta has died, according to police

MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) — The Marietta Police Department says the man injured in a hit-and-run involving a white pickup truck Sunday died.

Police said Andres Salanic-Sacalxot was pronounced dead at a hospital monday night. He was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in a Sandtown Road parking lot, police said.

Police said the 54-year-old man from Guatemala was walking through a parking lot around 7:15 p. m. Sunday near 814 Sandtown Road when a white pickup truck with stairs hit him.

He went to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital after the accident.
