Some 30 years later, a Massachusetts state police officer assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office continued the investigation and, in 2020, decided that Suriel was a pseudonym. The officer proved with photographs that Jorge matched the 1991 composite sketch, the prosecutor said. Witnesses corroborated photographs of Jorge named Bobby, and his relatives in the Dominican Republic provided investigators with evidence of his death.

According to the prosecutor, Jorge had “a long criminal history for drug and weapons related offenses. “He was imprisoned in New York twice in the 1980s, and after killing Davis, he was arrested in 1992 in New York.
