85% of Filipinos are concerned about contracting COVID – SWS

MANILA, Philippines – At least 85% of Filipinos involved in COVID-19 contraction have demonstrated the effects of newer social weather stations (SWSs).

Of these, 63% are “very concerned” and 22% “somewhat concerned. “

The effects published Monday showed little substitution for the July survey, which also showed that 85% of Filipinos contract COVID-19.

In September, SWS said the highest anxiety rate in Libra Luzon with 87%, followed by Visayas with 84%, Metro Manila with 83% and Mindanao with 80%.

“Compared to previous SWS surveys, fear of COVID-19 capture is greater than that of catching past viruses such as Ebola, swine flu, avian influenza, and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS),” SWS said.

The survey included an interview with 1,249 adult Filipinos via cell phone and computer-aided telephone, subdivided by population density, 309 in the metropolitan domain of Manila, 328 in Libra Luzon, 300 in Visayas and 312 in Mindanao.

The SWS maintains sampling margins of ± 3% for percentages, ± 6% for the metropolitan area of Manila, ± 5% for Libra Luzon, ± 6% for Visayas and ± 6% for Mindanao.

The effects of the survey occur when the Philippines exceeds 300,000 registered COVID-19s with more than 5,300 deaths and more than 250,000 cures.
